Oladapo Omotosho: Secret to Success

Are You The Secret To Success?

If you work hard enough and assert yourself, and use your mind and imagination, you can shape the world to your desires.
Malcolm Gladwell

Every time you practice, you compete against yourself, and with every practice, you raise your level of competence.
Vijay Eswaran

I think the greatest secret to success is YOU. Think, Act, Change is centrally focused on getting you better. The main person to be successful is you. You are the currency of the earth. What you currently know can be agrued to be equal to your bank balance. If you applied yourself to the highest capacity – your monthly take home may reflect that amount.

If you kept on developing yourself, advancing and getting better then you could demand more for your time or presence. Value is placed on you based on the complexity of problems you solve. So to be successful you need to get yourself to the point where loads of problems are solved due to your presence, solutions, ideas, skill set, work ethic etc.

I believe success varies from one person to another. I define success as you meeting up to your expectations and pushing yourself to surpass it. In the next one year my definition of success just might have changed and it should. There should be on earth over 7 billion definitions ‘cause as we are uniquely different so should our wants & desires differ. But herein lies the mystery, how do we get to the place or point of success?

Use your mind & imagination and you can shape the world to your desires. Einstein said the mind is like a parachute. It works best when open. When the mind has been stretched on a particular concept, it never returns to the former state. Sometimes we just refuse to challenge or question the status quo.

We remain satisfied with the way things are. I read long ago about the negators to the train manufacturers. Back then nothing could move up to 60km/hr. When it was purposed that the steam train would go that fasy and possibly to 80km/hr, specialists, scientists, experts come on board to say it was biologically unsafe. The experts at the time went against the idea but the men had a dream, they thought non-stop about making travel faster and more efficient. They took a chance and the rest is history.

Think about it. Some of you know that if you exerted yourself more than you currently are doing, you are bound to break even and possibly break records. You also know you are meant to stop listening to certain experts. This leads to the next step.

No matter how educated, knowledgeable or informed you are, if you don’t take continuous, persistent action towards your goals and dreams then your life will certainly remain the same. You have to work hard enough and assert yourself. It is a competition between you, yourself, and you (me, myself and I). Shut out the world, there’s too much negativity out there. Practice non-stop. Raise your competence. Get moving, move forward. Just act. You are the most powerful force in the universe, so stop feeling sorry for yourself and change your circumstances. Will it be hard? Definitely, but in the end it would be worth it.

Lastly, you would know you have shaped the world to your desires when you see the change or success that you defined for yourself. You are the greatest secret to success so Think success, Act towards it and be the best you, you could ever be.
